"Prefill Answers" come from the 'information sheet' about the respondent It has items like name, birth date, employer name, etc., information that has been collected in previous interviews. Using "prefill answer" means the designer does not have to repeat the same question(s) over in order to use the answer in the current survey.

For example,

"Are you still working for the Ohio State University?"

"Are you still working for {infosheet_prev_employer}?

• If checked, the substitution will be prefilled in the question text.
• If not checked, the substitution will not be prefilled in the question text.
